Health Services provides health services for people with a cervix, uterus, ovaries, and/or breasts.
These include:
| Annual “wellness” exam with: Pelvic exam Pap smear Breast exam (to check for breast cancer) Medical, sexual and family history Basic physical | |
| Birth control and family planning advice and counseling | |
| Pregnancy testing, counseling and referrals | |
| Sexually transmitted infection (STI) testing | |
| Diagnosis and treatment of reproductive health concerns |
Your health appointment
These services are available by appointment Monday through Friday. You can schedule an appointment online or call 314-935-6666.
Prepare for your exam
| Bring a list of all your medications and a list of any food or drug allergies | |
| Arrive at least 10 minutes early; failure to do so may delay your appointment time | |
| Sign in at the self check-in station or with front desk personnel | |
| Don’t schedule your wellness exam during your period. If your period starts 48 hours prior to your appointment, please call to reschedule. |
Sexual health tips
| People engaging in oral, vaginal, or anal sex should have regular sexually transmitted infection screening. | |
| People ages 9-45 should have the HPV vaccine. | |
| People with a cervix, ovaries, uterus and/or breasts: If you are over the age of 21, we recommend wellness exams, including pap tests. If you are over the age of 40, we recommend annual mammograms. | |
| To minimize risk of unplanned pregnancy and/or sexually transmitted infections (STIs), use safer sex supplies properly during sexual activity. | |
| PrEP appointments are available | |
| Free pregnancy tests and Emergency Contraception are available at both Health Services and Zenker Wellness Suite | |
| Alcohol and other drugs can affect judgment, impede the ability to consent, and may lead to unsafe sex. |
